AHHH, the end is in sight!!!!

You can make out a bit of the vinyl flooring (which Carl was a bit leery about but turned out quite nice).

Now the other side - oven, microwave, and an already fingerprinty fridge.

The big surprise of the day - columns to match our existing archways between the dining room and the nook!

Painting!

This weekend Carl, Joe, Bob, Alan and Anne painted while I stayed out of the paint fumes. As you can see, the results are quite spectacular.

Looking into the breakfast nook - the first coat of white is on the dark paneling. The walls will be finished once the archway is complete.

End of Week One

After several days, the electrical work has been completed and most of the plumbing.

The new outlets and the connections for the new lighting are in.

The former door has now been completely covered over

Days 2 and 3

The last couple of days have not been nearly as dramatic as the first. The old door into the dining room is now blocked up.

The ceiling repair has also started although we discovered we still have a leak that needs to be fixed from the bath
